In brief:

When Chester City was destroyed through years of mismanagement and was expelled from the Conference in 2010, Chester FC rose in its place. At first playing in Division 1 of the Northern Premier League, promotion soon followed and Blues are now chasing a return to Conference football. The original club was three times winner of the Welsh Cup and won the Conference in 2003/4.
